John Resler and Vicki Kay Swift: Our Fourth Decade Together

In our fourth decade together, I retired from the YMCA after 32 years, and Vicki and I began a new chapter in Tucson. Retirement gave us time for travel, family, and falconry—including trips across the U.S. and Europe. I briefly returned to lead struggling YMCA branches in El Paso TX and Downey CA, some of the most rewarding work of my career. Vicki thrived in her new role at a golf club, and we embraced cruises, road trips, and family celebrations. We shared in graduations and weddings, reunited with old friends, and said goodbye to loved ones. Through every joy and sorrow, we remained side by side—grateful for a life well lived and the love that carried us through it all.
